About
The DUO Hydra is an elongated, slow-sinking pencil lure designed for open-sea species from land-based or offshore fishing. Its extended body reduces the risk of larger species swallowing the lure whole or biting down on the shock leader.
The slender body allows for easy twitching and jerking with minimal rod movement, creating a side-to-side swaying motion and a skipping action on the water's surface during quick retrieval.
Introduced as Hydra 220, now the 175 version has two steel weights in its back compared to the 220's three balls. It maintains a streamlined body, responsive to jerks, and has a compact head/neck design for enticing surface movement. It showcases dynamic skipping and lively leaps during retrieval. Suitable for surface-feeding fish, the Hydra's small head and tail weight ensure rapid response to angler action.
