About

The DUO Spearhead Ryuki 50Mdf is a compact floating lure with a medium-depth diving profile, featuring the distinctive Flatside Minnow geometry and a long-casting system with a shifting weight balance. Measuring 50mm in length and weighing 3.4g, it comes equipped with two subtle #12 treble hooks attached to #1 rings.

During casting, the ball shifts towards the tail of the lure, while during retrieval, it moves forward under the influence of a magnet. The DUO Spearhead Ryuki 50Mdf flies far and true, effortlessly diving and quickly reaching its working depth. One of its key strengths lies in its ability to maintain a steady horizontal position during retrieval, allowing for precise presentations in local currents and right in front of the fish's nose.

Under standard fishing conditions, the diving depth ranges from 0.6 to 1 meter. However, with longer casts and the use of thin lines, this depth can be increased. The lure design and weighting, blade size, and blade angle enable the DUO Spearhead Ryuki 50Mdf to be fished with occasional bottom tapping in suitable fishing conditions.

The primary retrieval method is a steady, uniform motion, suitable for both slow and fast retrievals. A recommended technique is to induce strikes during pauses or by making contact with the bottom, alternating between uniform and twitching retrievals. Predator strikes are often triggered during pauses, so varying the retrieval style can lead to successful hookups.

Twitching requires a slightly more powerful rod compared to similar shallow-water versions of the DUO Spearhead Ryuki 50Mdf. Experiment with twitching, jerking, ripping, and alternating with steady retrievals—each of these variations can effectively entice strikes from predators when using the DUO Spearhead Ryuki 50Mdf.
