Its distinctive feature is an active medium-amplitude rolling motion, oscillating left and right relative to the longitudinal axis. The innovation lies in maintaining this motion during retrievals, whether upward, downward, or across the current—essentially, at any angle to the direction of water flow. This characteristic allows for versatile manipulations with the floating versions, even during jerky retrievals.

Positive buoyancy enables effective coverage of shallow areas in water bodies that were previously inaccessible to the Ryuki family.
